Sex. Lies. Scandal. Intrigue.

The year is 1531. England is embroiled in the King's Great Matter - his increasingly desperate attempts to rid himself of Katherine of Aragon so that he may marry Anne Boleyn. It is a time when the greatest of dramas took place not on a stage, but in the halls of the King's Court.

Division is rampant as traditionalists and devout Catholics stand by their Queen Katherine, and revolutionaries flock to Anne as one who promises great change.

These are the days that will determine the course of fate for ages to come. The Church is on the verge of a great schism, and never before has the destiny of the kingdom lied in the hands of such powerful women and men.

RULES

No god-modding. Do NOT force other characters into action without their approval. If in doubt, ask.

1 game-day equals 1 real day - however, while the game is played in real time, backdating will be allowed (within reason - ie; backdating a scene that happened 1-2 game days ago).

If you plan to apply for a major historical figure, please be sure you have a significant amount of time to devote to plotting and threading. One post every few weeks is not sufficient for a major role. With that in mind, we expect activity over any given fortnight for any character. If you have reason to be inactive for more than two weeks, you are expected to contact the mods. Otherwise, your character will be considered abandoned and will be re-opened for application.

Original Characters are not only allowed, but encouraged.

Please do not change any pre-established, historical information about your character without first running it by the mods. You are not bound to what your character does in the future, but you should try to keep their past as close to historical fact as possible.

Check and edit your posts for grammatical errors. An occasional typo is fine. Net speak is not.

Out-of-character comments, questions and plotting belong in tempest_ooc under f-lock or through email. Complaints about players or the game must be addressed by email and should not be aired publicly. If there is a problem, it will be handled by the mods.
